This week, we introduce a twist on our weekly Facebook and Instagram post, “Feature Friday”, where we showcase a local business, introduce you to the owner and encourage you to try their products and services. While this post ran on Facebook and Instagram every Friday morning, it wasn’t getting the kind of exposure we hoped for, so we’re expanding our reach and included our successful Local’s Guide to the Triangle Facebook Group to help spreading word.

Starting today, every Saturday morning we will introduce you to a local business, restaurant, park, entertainment venue, etc. on Facebook, LinkedIn and our website as an article/blog post. After that and throughout the week you’ll hear a bit more on our other social media platforms. We begin with a newcomer to our circle, Homefront Cleaning.

Tara is a British native and moved to NC in 2020 to start a new life after a 3 year battle with cancer. She decided on a major career change and for the first time in her life, she is doing something she loves. Providing people with a clean, happy place to live.

Community Service

Tara and Homefront Cleaners have been involved in numerous social and community events in the area and closest to their hearts is any charity or fundraiser that serves military/ veterans and front line workers. *In fact, they offer discounted rates for these workers. They also work very closely with local animal shelters and raise funds and volunteer to help to rehome abandoned dogs in the community.

Today, Tara Works to Live Rather than Living to Work

When you meet Tara, you realize pretty quickly she’s tough and has a strict work ethic. Tara was raised in a military home and they didn’t cut corners when cleaning. Today, as a military mom, keeping things neat and orderly simply comes naturally.

Tara spent her childhood learning to clean exceptionally well, her mom actually did  the good old white glove test. Oddly enough, Tara loved it. Ultimately, this lead her to open her own cleaning services, HomeFront Cleaning. She plans to deliver her clients an exceptionally clean space every time and you can sense it in everything she touches.

They are diverse and provide customized service to meet the unique needs of each individual client. They are still growing so if they don’t offer it on the menu, they may be convinced to offer it to you, or find someone who can do it.

I asked Tara what she loves most about Raleigh:

I love its diversity, I love that it’s a baby and still at the beginning of its growth. I love that whilst the city is growing it still keeps the old American small town feel in all the surrounding towns. Wherever you go, Raleigh just feels like home!
